DURATION

Workshops are scheduled for 3 hours (attendees typically finish their art in 1:45 - 2:45 hours depending on the size of art chosen)

You are welcome to leave before the class is officially closed once you've finished your art and our team has framed it.

  • We would love to celebrate with you!
  • Our events take place at one of our workshop locations. At the moment, we do not travel for events.
  • We do not book Maivie workshops out privately. To book a party, book your class like normal. We always aim to seat groups together in our spaces.
  • When booking make sure to note the nature of the party in the special requests section at checkout
  • It is important that all attendees are on time and stay for the duration of their workshop
  • We do not allow food or drink in our workshop due to the sensitivity of our flowers
  • Please make sure all guests RSVP and you continue to update us with the number of guests in your party via phone call to the appropriate location to avoid cancellation/no show fees. Many times with events people who have rsvpd no show unexpectedly. Please contact each guest in your party 48 hours in advance to make sure your RSVP count is up to date to help avoid fees.

Paying for Your Event

  • Typically, when someone would like to cover the event or pay for a certain amount we have them give a credit towards the workshop for each guest. This way, the event coordinator can stay within their budget while allowing attendees to have creative freedom. This means you could do one of three things:
    • 1. Cover the entire event: Guests have creative freedom and can make the art they want!
    • 2. Cover the base cost for each attendee and have them purchase their frame ($45 per person)
    • 3. Cover the base cost and a specific frame ($45 + the frame) For example: You could cover the base cost for each attendee as well as a frame ($45 + $49 ‎ = $94.00) This would be a credit of $94 + tax to each guest. They could make art with their friends and attend the workshop at no cost, but if they wanted to do a specific frame like an arch they could upgrade and just pay the difference!

 

AGE

This activity is for ages 5+ and up. Please make sure attendees under the age of 14 have a chaperone. The chaperone may be a spectator, or they can participate in the workshop as well. If the chaperone makes the art piece for the youth or co-creates the piece with them, youth pricing does not apply.

FAQs

Q: CAN I BRING MY OWN PRESSED FLOWERS?

A: Unfortunately, due to cross contamination potential, we are unable to allow pressed flowers originating from outside our stores at this time.

Q: WHAT FRAMES DO YOU HAVE IN STOCK?

A: Maivie is always changing frame styles, colors, etc. so you can come back and make something fresh and new at each of your visits. Due to this, it's difficult for us to keep our stock published online. If you have questions about a specific frame type shoot us an email at support@shopmaivie.com

Q: CAN I BRING MY OWN FRAME?

A: Unfortunately, due to the complexity and nuances of the framing process, and for liability reasons, we require the purchase of one of our frames in shop.

Q: DO I HAVE TO PURCHASE A FRAME?

A: Due to liability reasons, and the sensitivity of the flowers, we require the purchase of a frame at our workshop.

Q: DO YOU TRAVEL FOR EVENTS?

A: At the moment, we do not travel for events outside of our workshop. However, we would love to have host you and your group at one of our workshop locations!

 

Q: WILL MY FLOWERS FADE OVER TIME?

A: Flowers will always naturally fade over time. However, this inevitable process can be exponentially expedited by having flowers in harsh light or direct sunlight. To maximize the life of your beautiful art we recommend hanging your piece out of harsh or direct sunlight.

Q: DO FLOWERS BROWN?

A: These blooms are pressed in their natural state to avoid chemicals. Over time flowers may change and fade due to the chlorophyll and other pigmentation. We are excited for you to appreciate the beauty of aging within botanicals.

Q: WHERE SHOULDN'T I HANG MY ART?

A: We recommend hanging your piece in a place that is NOT in DIRECT SUNLIGHT, HARSH LIGHT, or where HEAVY MOISTURE accumulates

By booking with us, you agree to our POLICIES as stated below.

CANCELlATION POLICY

There will be a $25 no-show/cancellation fee per person in my group if I do not notify support@shopmaivie.com before 24 hours of my scheduled class. Please email us, and we will help you with your booking needs!

CREATION POLICY

Creations made in the workshop are not eligible for a refund. Craftsmanship issues such as: broken frames, damaged plexiglass, or damaged flowers will be reviewed on an individual basis by a team member in-store. Concerns need to be voiced during the workshop. We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual.

SAFETY POLICY

We care about your safety. As a result, please do not bring any of the following: NO ANIMALS, NO SMALL CHILDREN, NO FOOD/DRINK. Thank you for your cooperation.

ReTURN POLICY

All art and workshop experiences are final sale and non-refundable/returnable.
